In my current role as Business Resilience Manager, I establish the strategy, policy, direction and provide the framework for and have oversight of Business Continuity and Incident Management processes for Standard Life.
I joined the Board of Scottish Continuity to deliver education and awareness activities in Scotland with the objective of improving resilience for our members and community. I believe that sharing good practice is integral to our strategy.

I’m passionate about resilience and thrive on
challenging existing processes and procedure to drive improvements.
My particular skills and expertise are –
• Developing and delivering BC and IM Frameworks and the supporting policies and procedures required to create robust capabilities
• Creating and delivering training programs
• Designing and implementing recovery strategies and response plans |

I have been a member of the Business Continuity Institute since 2010.
My team have won the BCI Global and European Team of the Year awards on three occasions and I was delighted to be awarded the BCI European Continuity and Resilience Professional 2019 in May. |

I really enjoy working with people to simplify complex Business Continuity and Incident Management processes to allow them to focus on their business and recovery objectives.
I am also very interested in the use of psychology in crisis management teams. In my spare time (which isn’t much!) I love to read articles on the topic.

I own 3 horses and regularly compete in showjumping and dressage competitions. |
