Profile / About You

Joined the Army at 18 years old and travelled and worked everywhere you would expect an Army Officer to have gone between 1985 and 2011.  Left the Army thinking I could shoot straight and look like a tree but what else?  Found Crisis Management and Business Continuity as a fantastic fit for the Army requirement to always have a back-up plan as “no plan survives contact with the enemy”.
Passionate to ensure all businesses are ready to respond and recover from any disruptive event and thus joined the Scottish Continuity Group as a Board Member in 2018.

Experience / Key Accomplishments

27 years as British Army officer until resigned and started as an Emergency Response consultant, initially in Aberdeen with oil and gas industry.  Eight years of business experience, primarily in UK but also regular international traveller to support clients as required.
Founded Inverroy Crisis Management Ltd in March 2015.

MBA (Oil and Gas Management) with Distinction
MA Defence Technology
Member award from City and Guilds in Leadership and Management (MCGI) and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
Member of the BCI
Fellow of the Emergency Planning Society
